Chiefly Households ask for Forgiveness

The families of three chiefly households in the country have publicly asked for forgiveness for any wrong they may have done to the people of Fiji.

Speaking in the itaukei language on our sister station, Viti FM as part of the build up to Easter, Ratu Joji Cakobau made the public statement on behalf of the Cakobau family, Adi Litia Mara Dugdale spoke on behalf of the late Ratu Sir Kamisese Mara's family while Ratu Epeli Ganilau spoke on behalf of the late Ratu Penaia Ganilau's family.    
The message from the three households is for all the high chiefs in the 14 provinces, all the different ethnic groups in Fiji, all the different religious organizations, all the church leaders, all business stakeholders, all parents and children and all the government ministries.

They say if their families have mistakenly done anything to hurt anyone in the past, they are kindly asking for forgiveness from the people who may have cursed their families.
